I’m trainer Edith and I love keeping fit and eating well. I also really like cats. But that’s for another website.
Back to fitness, I’m a certified personal and group fitness trainer. I sometimes compete as a physique athlete, model for fitness magazines, host online workout videos and I’m constantly trying and learning new things – from dropping in on a Crossfit class, improving my swim stroke, trying my fancy footwork at parkour or learning to backflip. And eating. I love to eat food that loves me back.
Aside from staying in top form myself, I genuinely love helping other do the same. I feel lucky to have been part of hundreds of people’s fitness journeys over the past few years. I personal train, I lead bootcamps, share fitness and healthy recipe ideas across my social media and, now, I have this blog. I’m excited to see what I can do with this bigger venue and I have lots of ideas in store.
I hope you’ll drop in once in a while, ask a question or two and be inspired.
I was born and raised in Townsville, Australia to a Filipina Mother and German Father. I was an active little, bush-going tomboy who built her own tree-house at 8 and played football with the boys. As a young teen I suddenly blossomed into a girly-girl, turned a few heads and began modelling at 16. I had the great fortune to travel the world posing for pictures. After 5 years of professionally modelling, I realised that I had become stupid and insipid (not to say this happens to all models, but it did to me). I decided it was time to go back to school. My love of travel, culture and politics pointed me to study International Relations. I fancied that I would become a diplomat. But it turned out I wasn’t suited to traditional jobs. I become at personal trainer at 26 and knew right away it was what I was meant to do. As a personal goal I starting competing and fell in love. I soon found myself engaged in all kinds of fitness modelling work. I currently reside in Toronto, Canada but travel often.
